The Diamond Lake Sled Dog Race, first of the season for many, was a success!!  Using a different start/finish location worked just fine.  After many discussions with Trail Boss, David Boyd, courses matching the length of the previous years were set up and seemed to be enjoyed by all.  Those who made trails in the snow next to the parking area made the trek to the start line much easier and safer – thanks to all who worked on that.  And, freshly groomed trails Sunday morning made it even better for the second day’s runs. – thank you Randy and Elmer of the Resort!!

If you would like a Diamond Lake race t-shirt, you can order it on PayPal or email Cari  (carih204@yahoo.com)  and she will give you instructions.  She can also take orders at Bachelor Butte Dog Derby this weekend.  They will be $20.00, which includes $5 for mailing them to you.  If they are ready by Mush Without Slush, they can be hand delivered and you will be given back the $5.

It was fun spending the weekend with good friends – new & old , plus family, sharing an activity we all enjoy so much!!  It’s such a rewarding sport in so many ways!!  Thanks to all for your help and encouragement!!
