Race Details:
The Diamond Lake Sled Dog Race, started by Southern Oregon Sled Dog
Club in 1974, ran until 2003. Since then, it has been held off-and-on. The
courses for the different classes run on the roads and in the campground in
the Diamond Lake area.

CLASSES
- 8-dog mid-distance, 31 miles each day
- 6-dog mid-distance, 15 miles each day
- 8-dog sprint, 8 miles each day
- 6-dog sprint, 6 miles each day
- 4-dog sprint, 4 miles each day
- Novice, 10 years and older unless pre-approved, 4 miles each day
- Junior, 7-14 years old, 2 miles each day
- Advanced Skijor, 6 miles each day
- Recreational Skijor, 2 miles each day

Schedule
- Friday, Feb. 21st, 5 – 8 p.m., Racer’s packet pick-up in Resort Lobby
- Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM – Mandatory Driver’s meeting at race site 8:00 AM ALL CLASSES MUST ATTEND BOTH
- Start time 9:00 AM both days beginning with 8-Dog Mid-distance Teams
- Sunday – Awards presentation after conclusion of events
Race Notes:
- Pacific Tri States Alliance Race Rules will be followed
- Metal-edge skis prohibited in skijoring classes
- Novice – 10 years and older unless pre approved. Pro driver does not qualify for awards.
- Junior – 7-14 years
- The top 3 teams of all purebred Siberian Huskies in 4-Dog Sprint and 6-Dog Mid-Distance classes will be awarded ribbons and recognized by the Siberian Husky Club of America Inc.
- No Day-Of Race Entries will be accepted
- No Phone Entries
- Race is located in the Umpqua National Forest, Diamond Lake.
- This event is operating on National Forest Land under permit from US Forest Service.
- Weed-Free Hay is required by the Forest Service. Certificate must be on-hand at the event.
