7:30am Drivers Meeting (required for all racers).
Please keep dogs confined during meeting.
After the Races:
Sunday – awards and prizes 30 minutes after the last class ends
Where: Zimmerman Butte – Go northwest out of Sisters, on Hwy 20W towards Santiam Pass just over 3 miles;
as the passing lane ends, turn Right onto Road 2059-500. Look for race sign. Go back about 1 mile.
Entries/Fees: Entries (see link below) are due March 30th. No entry fees for this event however donations to PSDSA to cover event expenses will be greatly appreciated.
We have several loops of varying distances, to choose from. Format will be a little different. Each course will be run as a class. Within that, folks can run any of the team size and configurations listed for that class. Teams for each course will be on the trail together; awards will be presented to each category within the class. Rigs must be dog-powered which means that quads need to be run without motor assist. Helmets are required under age 16 years; encouraged for all participants.
1.6 mile course (map) Out-and-Back with eye loop 1-2 dog scooter AND 1-2 dog bikejor AND 2-4 dog cart
4.2 mile course (map) Loop Trail 1-3 dog scooter AND 1-3 dog bikejor AND 4 – 6 dog cart/ATV
5.8 mile course (map) Loop Trail 1-3 dog scooter AND 1-3 dog bikejor AND 6 – 10 dog cart/ATV
9.7 mile course (map) Loop Trail 2-4 dog scooter AND 2-4 dog bikejor AND 6 – 10 dog cart/ATV
PSDSA Meeting: Will be held at race site, 30 minutes after last team in on Saturday. All PSDSA members & non-members are welcome at the meeting.
The staging area is completely without amenities except for porta-potty. Bring your own food, water and chair.
Lodging is available at several motels on the west side of Sisters. There are also two campgrounds in the area if folks want to go more basic. Indian Ford Campground is about 2 miles north of the race turnoff; small with pit toilet and running water. Cold Springs Campground is a few miles away to the west of the highway and also has pit toilet and running water. You can also camp at the race site but you will need to bring water.
